Noise curtailments help meet regulatory noise limits and reduce impact on nearby residents. By adjusting turbine operational modes (or shutting turbines down in certain wind conditions), you can balance compliance with energy production.

How to use

  • Select the park you want to add noise curtailments for.

  • Go to Constraints → Turbine noise curtailments.

  • Ensure the turbines in the park have noise modes set up.

  • Configure your regulatory requirements in Regulatory Configuration.

  • Choose Optimise to automatically find the best curtailments, or Manual to set them yourself.

  • If you chose to include neighbouring turbines in the configuration, we use this in the noise analysis.

  • Apply/Save the curtailments to your park.

Optimise

The optimisation automatically finds the turbine modes (normal, reduced, or shutdown) that keep sensor noise within limits while maximising AEP. It ensures compliance with minimal production loss.

You can optimise turbine noise curtailments and apply the to the park. Create a new branch from the result or download it.

Analyse

  • See the AEP loss and per-turbine impact in Production analysis.

  • Run a Noise analysis to verify compliance at sensors and visualize results on the map.
